Old carpet can hold onto stains and odors, making a space feel tired. At this St. Augustine home, we were asked to update a bedroom by replacing the carpet with new luxury vinyl plank flooring. The goal was to create a cleaner, more modern look that would be easy to maintain.

The Work

Moved light furniture to clear the workspace
Removed and disposed of the existing non-adhered carpet
Scraped, swept, and inspected the subfloor to ensure a smooth surface
Installed luxury vinyl plank flooring
Added trim and performed a final quality check

The Outcome

The bedroom now feels brighter and more spacious, with a warm wood tone that works well with the existing neutral walls. The new LVP flooring offers durability and easy cleaning, making it a practical upgrade for everyday living.
