Summary

This project involved a full flooring overhaul at the Caffarra residence in Palm Coast. The homeowners wanted to update their floors throughout the house, which required the removal of tile and glued-down carpet before installing new luxury vinyl plank. The work needed careful planning to protect the home and ensure a smooth transition between different flooring areas.

The Work

Removed existing tile and adhered carpet, using dust control and surface scarifying where needed
Protected furniture and cabinetry with plastic barriers and ventilation during demo
Moved light furniture and performed thorough subfloor inspection and correction
Carried out grinding and filling of uneven subfloor areas to prepare for LVP installation
Installed new luxury vinyl plank flooring, visqueen barrier, and new quarter round and transition molding

The Outcome

The home now has a uniform, refreshed look with new LVP flooring. Careful demo and prep helped avoid dust and damage, while subfloor grinding ensured a level surface. The upgraded floors brighten the space and improve day-to-day comfort.
